Top of the morning Pandas!
Brrrr…it’s getting pretty chilly outside. I guess this is to be expected for November. How about you Pandas? Is it cold where you live? The frigid temperatures at least match well to the ice-cream party that’s being held this weekend in the ice-cream parlor. Ella and I stopped by earlier and spotted a ton of Pandas wearing the ice-cream costume. It looked so cool!
That was pretty funny. I had mine on, too. I thought the greatest part was seeing so many Pandas getting changed into ice cubes! You have to type in two secret words into the chat box to do it. A few Pandas have already figured it out – check the comments section.
Yesterday I payed a little visit to Carl Caruso in his tree house. His little Pompoms were running all over the place, stirring up trouble as usual. The thing was, the Pompoms were all so dirty!
Did you tell him that?
Yeah, I told him that he should probably give them all a quick scrub-down in the bathtub. After all, it’s very unhygienic to be living with so many dirty, fuzzy animals. What will the neighbors think? Here, I took a picture with my cell phone:

That’s one dirty Pompom. Come on, Ella, let’s go grab an ice cream.
Sounds good! You Pandas have fun at the party!

Hey Pandas,
Ugh, I for one am never in my life going to try Max’ homemade ice cream again!
Too bad for you. I thought it tasted great! It was – different. I mean, everyone likes strawberry and chocolate, but my ice-cream creation was a different story. Yesterday I invited lots of my friends to my tree house and served ice cream. That ice-cream parlor is no match for Max!
We had lots of buddies there – Kamaria, Prof. Bookworm, Lili, Penny and Lenny. I was excited to see what Max was going to cook up for us. He brought in a huge bowl with what looked to be caramel and chocolate sauce! I was so excited…but wait…upon closer inspection…are those chunks of meat?
Pistachio ice cream with mustard and chili!
We all looked at one another with worried glances. Kamaria was the first to dive in. She said it was tasty, although her face contorted a bit as she swallowed down her first and only bite. Professor Bookworm refused to try it, claiming he was on a strict diet. As for me, I swirled around my spoon in the huge lumpy mess and tried to make it look like I had taken a few bites. We all watched as it slowly melted into a giant puddle of brown, green and gold.
I invite all of you over for a lovely dessert and this is the way you treat me? You can just go to the ice-cream parlor from now on!
Not a bad idea. Speaking of ice-cream parlor, have you Pandas checked out the new game there yet? We’re off to play it right now. See you there!

Ella and Max

Hey Pandas,
Phew, it’s pretty exhausting to unfreeze a Panda with a teensy-tiny doll hair dryer.
Ella, I already told you, you should have picked one up from the beauty salon. Lili surely had an extra one lying around.
Yeah, you’re right. After all, it did end up taking a staggering amount of time: 2 hours, 43 minutes and 39 seconds! My arms got so tired! But, we did it and freed Jay Pea, our dear frozen friend. And, he gave us each an ice-cream costume! Did you Pandas get yours yet? It’s super stylish!
You can show yours off this weekend at the mega-cool ice cream party! The ice-cream parlor will be specially decorated and there’ll be music, dancing, and everything else that goes with a fun party. Here a sneak peek:

But be sure to keep Jay Pea away from the ice cream! Otherwise the poor buddy will have to deal with being frozen again, and let’s face it, no one should have to go through such a thing twice.

Hey Pandas,
So, how was your Halloween? The party in the castle was very cool. Lots of Pandas dressed up in all sorts of creepy-funny costumes. And luckily several of you found all of the jack-o-lanterns and were able to save that poor tree monster’s soul. Great work!
We got to meet up with an old friend on Sunday – Jay Pea! He came in this weekend with a mission: to try a certain speciality that is only available in Panfu. Do you know what it could be? Creamy, delicious ice cream from the ice cream parlor! He had heard that it’s the best anywhere.
He hadn’t tasted ice cream in his entire life and wanted to try it out here in Panfu. Unfortunately, there was a little problem. Let’s see:
We arranged to pick him up and take him over to the ice cream parlor Sunday afternoon. We each ordered five(!) scoops of strawberry ice cream with lots of whipped cream. Jay Pea took the first bite and a funny look came over his face. Before we knew it, he was frozen in a giant block of ice. He must have been allergic! Oh no!

We’ve heard that unfreezing a Panda too soon could result in trauma, so Ella and I hauled him up to my tree house and stuck him in the freezer until we can figure out what to do. Every now and then we chip off a couple of cubes for our lemonade, but it would take a lot of work to completely de-thaw him. Any of you Pandas have ideas? There could be a prize in it for you…
Be good Pandas,
Max and Ella

Good morning Pandas!
Tonight is the night! It’s Halloween and the Panfu Halloween party is tonight! All Pandas are invited!
Don’t forget to don a super-creepy outfit to scare all the other Pandas silly. If you’ve found all of the jack-o-lanterns and lit them up, you’ll get a great costume from the Root Monster. It also happens to be the winner of the Panfu Halloween fashion contest, so go see if it’s yours!
Do you Pandas know the history of Halloween? This day was celebrated by the Celts more than 2,000 years ago in England to say goodbye to the summer. People also thought that the souls of the dead awoke and returned to their old houses. Spooky, don’t you think?
The name ‘Halloween’ came about a little later and stands for ‘All Hallows’ Eve’. Basically, the evening of all the ghosts! Wooooooo!!
We’re really excited about the Halloween party. There will be a couple of surprise guests and also all Pandas are allowed to chat until midnight. So after you get done trick-or-treating, stop by Panfu and party late into the night! Have you seen the ballroom decorations yet?

Also, take a look at the item machine today in the cave. There’s something special in there just for Halloween!
Be good Pandas,
Max and Ella

P.S. – Jay Pea sent us a message that he’ll be coming to Panfu again next week. He probably doesn’t want to miss the awesome ice party! Tune in for more details!

Boo!
As promised, we are here today with the instructions on how to make your own jack-o-lantern. Ella and I already tried it out on Wednesday, but unfortunately Kamaria smashed our pumpkin thinking it was an evil spirit. But these things happen.
First off, be sure to ask your parents for help. Pumpkins can be rather thick and one needs a big, sharp knife to cut through them. This can be very dangerous and we don’t want any Pandas losing fingers!
You will need: big, round pumpkin, a pen, a largish spoon, and a knife. Also, don’t forget the tea light to put in your pumpkin to make it glow.
Draw whatever you want on your pumpkin. Make it funny, scary, spooky, confused – whatever! Don’t forget to draw a circle around the top of the pumpkin. That’s where you’ll cut it open to scoop out the innards and put in the candle.
Get your parents to help you with this part. Cut around the top and then use the spoon to take out all the pumpkin guts. Bake the seeds for a tasty treat! Once your pumpkin is nice and clean on the inside, cut along the other lines you’ve drawn.
Now light a tea light, turn off all the lights and put it in your pumpkin. You’re done! Scare ‘em dead, slugger!

Max and Ella

Hiya Pandas,
Have you stopped by the castle yet? It’s been taken over by the roots of an incredible tree monster!
I’ve never heard of a tree monster. It looks pretty creepy, though. Max and I stopped by yesterday and had a little chat with the monster. Max hid behind me a bit because he was scared that it would grab him! We found out that the tree monster isn’t all bad – it’s just that some dark forces are overtaking his soul and he’s doing his best to fight against them. It’s kinda sad.
Don’t worry, Ella, I’m sure that lots of Pandas will be on the search for the jack-o-lanterns. You have to light them all and then the tree will be back to his normal self.
I hope you’re right. In the mean time, Max and I have been carving our own pumpkins. Max came over to my tree house with a gigantic pumpkin. I don’t know how he carried it up all those steps. We did a good job carving a very creepy face into it. Afterwards, we lit a candle and put it inside so the face would glow. It looked great! Satisfied with our work, we went back inside to have a bit of pumpkin tea.
That’s when we heard someone outside the tree house: “You jack-o-lantern ghosts won’t fool me! I’ll get every last one of you!” Then we heard a big thump.
We ran to the door and that’s when we saw it – Kamaria stood on the porch over our smashed pumpkin with a broomstick. She looked very satisfied with herself. That’s when we had to tell her it was our Halloween decoration. She still didn’t believe us…
Oh well, we can make a new one. You can make one, too! On Friday we’ll post step-by-step instructions on how to make your own jack-o-lantern. You can look for a pattern yourself if you want and then we’ll guide you from there!
Be good Pandas,
Max and Ella
