Test-frog

January 27th, 2012

Good morning Pandas,

can you believe it? Napasapa didn’t bring enough bottles of lemonade for his tank – just like last time. Pffffft, Napasapa is such a dreamer!

I think it must be in his genes. His parents Nui and Trawui didn’t put enough lemonade in their tank last time, either. ;) We have to get the lemonade from the Disco quickly and fill up Napasapa’s tank.

Funny you said “quickly”!
Max has been transforming me into a frog all the time since yesterday! [CROAK] Ooops…

Hehe, I collected a lot of points as fast as I could and I’m using Ella as my Test-frog

Max has already transformed me into a frog so many times that this morning after I got out of bed, I was automatically jumping around on my arms and legs in my Treehouse. And i’m also starting to grow swimming-skins between my toes… But I am so going to get Max back for this! I’m going to collect enough points to turn him into a snail, hehe. ;) But how many points do I need for that? Do you know?

Expert-Question:
How many points in “Achievements” do you need to be able to turn another Panda into a snail?

Please drop your answer in the comments till tomorrow evening! You can win a Graduation Cap and a Hanging Plant. No worries, those even survive cold winter temperatures. ;)

Giant Pancake, Achievements, Gold Panda Day

January 25th, 2012

Good morning Pandas,

today we have some announcements for you, you know, like in the News on television. :)

You’re live on air so to speak, hehe. Our newsreader Max begins with the first topic. ;)

  • The Giant Pancake is done

Troy, the owner of the pancake stand, has now, after days of preparing the dough, dealing with pots, pans and heavy sweating, successfully made a pancake to save Chiconahuiehecatl. Now it’s your turn! Go get the pancake and take it to Napasapa as fast as you possibly can! This is the only way you can save the people of Chiconahuiehecatl from the cold.

  • From tomorrow: Achievements & Rewards

Sensational News! The “Achievements” are arriving tomorrow. Those are sometimes simple and other times more tricky tasks for all Pandas. You will be rewarded with a lot of points for your Panda! For example you can turn into a little snail or a frog. Come to Panfu tomorrow in the afternoon! You can find the Achievements with the golden symbol in your player card.

By the way… a new interface design is also coming with some changes to the look of the menu. Here is a little sneak-peek :)

  • Friday is Gold Panda Day!

There’s not much we need to add to that, is there? All Pandas can make use of all Gold- and Level-functions! Yahooooo! Yaaaay! Yihaaa!

Sooo, how did you like us as newsreaders?
Uhm, I think Max needs a little more practice. Such emotional outbursts like those above don’t really belong in a News report. ;)

Napasapa’s Plan and New Furniture

January 24th, 2012

Good morning Pandas,

yesterday, we went to visit Professor Bookworm in his cave again. After all we’re excited to know what this pankace and Paul the Kid story is all about. Bookworm was a little ashamed because he fell asleep last time, hehe.

But then he explained everything on the map in great detail:

“Well, this up there is Chiconahuiehecatl and down here this is Panfu”, he was pointing out with his finger. “Napasapa flies with his spaceship and a gigantic pancake to Chiconahuiehecatl. Paul the Kid, as we all know, absolutely loves pancakes. Even to an extend that he would use his powers just to get a pancake. I’m sure you remember when he wished to eat Evron’s huge pancake back in the day. To get to it he had pulled Bitterland closer to Panfu at night in his dreams. He could do the same now with Chiconahuiehecatl, if all goes well that is.”

“So this means he uses his powers to pull the pancake towards himself and at the same time pulls Chiconahuiehecatl closer to Panfu which automatically means closer to the sun.” I murmured. “BINGO!”.

I hope this plan works out… But we’ll know more tomorrow. That’s when Troy is finished making the gigantic pancake.

By the way, we have new furniture in the catalogue from today: Cowboy and Indian. :)

Prof Bookworm explains

January 22nd, 2012

Hello Pandas,

tell me, did you really understand what Napasapa told us about his home planet Chiconahuiehecal? That the universe was bent in some way and now the planet is further away from he sun?

And now Paul the Kid is supposed to move it back into place with the help of a pancake? Well, that was sort of a bit much for us (we didn’t exactly get what he meant  )

But luckily we have a scientist on Panfu that knows all about Astrology: Professor Bookworm. We told him the sad story of Napasapa’s icy and dark planet. “A kink in the universe?” is what he asked surprised and made big eyes.

His glasses even dropped from his nose. :D But he still needed them. Because then he started to flick through a lot of books, study star maps and then he looked through his telescope for a long time. Finally he brought this sketch and explained everything:

“Think of it like that” he said and pointed to the planet. “This is Chiconahuiehecatl. The planet is in a different solar sytem from ours and revolves around a different sun than our planet. One day, the universe just bent right between Chiconahuiehecatl and their sun and because of this, the planet drifted further away from the sun. The sun rays hardly get through to Chiconahuiehecatl because of this great distance. That’s why it is dark there right now and ice-cold. I have never heardf  oanything like it. Quite astonishing! About 45 years ago, there was this case…”

“And how can Paul the Kid help the Chiconahuiehecatlians?” I interrupted quickly so he wouldn’t go on about outer space for hours there.“Uh, right. Mhhh, let me think about that one for a second.” But the next minute he was asleep!  Prof. Bookworm just passed out! Maybe it was all a bit too exhausting for him… or he thinks while he sleeps. :D There was no way we could wake him up. We’re just going to stop by again tomorrow and let you know the rest.

Max, Ella and a flushed Chicken

January 20th, 2012

Good morning Pandas,

Max and I had such a chaotic morning on Wednesday!
After the hen had pecked Max’s hand for the fourth time in a row, he just dropped her – right in the middle of my treehouse.

I couldn’t help it. The hen wasn’t just pecking, she also dropped “something” on my jacket.

Hehe, at least she didn’t poop in my treehouse. :D But she managed to cause a lot of chaos. The hen was doing little zigzag manoeuvres through my treehouse and just pushed and pulled down whatever came her way: my plant (by the way my first plant that has NOT died…), my Ice-Maker, my stool, and my Lava-lamp. And then, to top it all off, she pecked my inflatable couch… that I was sitting on!

And …FIIIZZZZZ… after one minute all air was gone from it and Ella sat on the floor.

Yep, and that did it for me!

Yes, I could tell. Ella went deep-red in the face and started to run after the hen – also in zigzags. It was a lot of seesawing back and forth – but the hen was always just a tad faster than Ella.

In the meantime I was checking the blog and reading your comments. They were so helpful! Because you wrote you can calm down a hen by simply giving her food and nice seeds would be best. An then I had an idea  I went to Ella’s kitchen, took the cereal bowl that Ella had already prepared for breakfast and put it on the floor. Next time the hen passed the kitchen, she stopped right in front of the bowl, pecked a few times and even laid the egg in the end.

Of course we gave it to Troy straight away so he can bake the big pancake. ;)

By the way: The answer to our Expert Question is: There are no sheep on the pony farm. Expert of the Week is kyle632!

Hen’s Alarm!

January 18th, 2012

Good morning Pandas,

today is the day. The sleeping beauty… uhm, I mean Napasapa will wake up again from his loooooong sleep. He should be well rested then. I’m quite excited to hear the News from his home planet and why he was frozen. You, too? Oh, there is Max… and why is he making such noise. :???:

ELLA HELP!!!

What’s wrong? And why are you carrying a hen?

I just went to see Napasapa. He told me why he was frozen and I have to make this giant pancake now…

Ok, Napasapa seems to be a little hungry apparently. ;) It comes as no surprise now that he didn’t get to eat anything for a whole week.

The pancake is not for him, it’s to save his home planet… ah, that’s such a long story. Anyway, I need an egg from this hen. I think she’ll lay one any minute, but I don’t know how to calm her down… she went a little wild.  OUCH! Now she’s already pecking my hand.

Uuuhmmm, I’m not sure what to answer. Do you know maybe how to calm the hen down so she can lay an egg?

Cowboys, Indians & Expert Question

January 17th, 2012

Yihaaaaaaaaa!

Hello adventouus Pandas, do you feel like riding through the prarie on the back of a horse, like catching a bull with a lasso and then doing the bear-dance? :D

Keh? Bulls, horses and bears? I think, I’m in a movie.

Yep, it’s a Western movie with Cowboys and Indians, hehe. :) I got inspired by our new clothes:

Well, I ‘ll go saddle the horses then, hehe. ;)

Talking of horses… the new Expert Question is about our pony-farm.

Expert Question
Which animal does not live on the pony farm on Panfu? Horse, cow, dog, pig, sheep, duck or chicken?

Drop your answers in the comments below this post till Thursday. We’ll draw a winner and announce who it is on Friday on our blog. And this is what you can win: A Graduation Hat and a Panda Robot. :)

Good luck!
