Howdy Pandas,

Billy’s mouth has transformed into a proper little biotope – complete with octopuses and giant crabs. I bet oceanographers could observe a lot of interesting stuff here. Have you dressed up as underwater creatures yet?

Blubb blubb blubb

Oh yeah, Ella had this little incident…she put on the octopus costume. But when she tried to take it off again, the zipper got stuck on the side. We pulled it up and down and tried what we could, but it just wouldn’t budge.

Ella had to walk through Panfu with her eight tentacles…or rather, she stumbled. The tentacles kept getting tangled. Ella lost her balance and fell over. She was so mad that she even sprayed ink! When we arrived at Ella’s Tree House, she was so exhausted that she had two huge glasses of bubble tea. She hasn’t been able to talk for over an hour, she just produces colourful bubbles.

You are right, Ella. Hehe, I can understand Ella’s bubble speak a bit. She reminded me that it is time again for the Expert Question of the Week. We forgot all about that last week. Sorry! To make up for that, two Pandas will be picked as winners this week.

Max and blub blub

I have a loooong day ahead of me today!

Curley asked me to make as much bubble tea as possible. He had a great idea while he had some – he won’t share his idea, though! He just muttered something about a surprise. Then he took a big sip and kept talking. Of course I couldn’t understand a word with all that mumbling.

All night we’ve been trying to think of what he might want to do with the bubble tea. He can’t drink all of it himself…right?

Maybe he wants to have a bubble tea pearl spitting competition? Or maybe a different kind of competition? Whoever drinks the most bubble tea will be the winner.

I already know who would win that competition. Me!

True. Max really has developed a taste for that tea. He had a whole pot full! Right after, his tummy made a really loud noise. I even heard it in the room next door! There’s just one good thing about this and that is that he isn’t mad anymore.

By the way…do you like pink and purple? I love both colours. That’s why I was really happy to see the new furniture:

Hello Pandas,

Seeing as Max is so mad at C…(you know who ), I have decided not to say his name for a while…or even write it. Max is very sensitive there. I think he might still be jealous, because I had a little crush on C a few years back. But that’s a looong time ago. In the meantime, Max and i have kissed. Way up high on top of the pyramid, during our world tour. That was so romantic! My heart always beats a bit faster when I think about it….bump bump bump bump.

Anyway, C gave me a really yummy recipe before he left. He brought it with him from Malaysia – Bubble Tea.

It’s like cold tea with funny pearls in it that pop in your mouth and go all fizzy. Such a funny feeling when you drink it for the first time I haven’t had anything quite this crazy before! I’ll go to Max and surprise him with it. Maybe he will stop being mad after having some sweet tea.

Hiya Pandas,

For the American Pandas among you: I’m hoping that your parents aren’t reading, especially your mothers…because tomorrow is a very special day: MOTHER’S DAY On that day, you can show your mother how much you love her and say thank you for all the things she does for you. Be especially nice to her tomorrow. I bet she’d be happy about a little surprise from you, too!

Handmade things are usually a hit! For example, you could make breakfast tomorrow or pick some flowers for her. Another pandatastic idea is a handmade card. Don’t worry, you don’t have to be crafting pros to do that! You’ll find a little Mother’s Day crafting idea at the Yellow Mailbox in the City. Here’s a little taster:

Max, you’re not still mad, are you?

Pffft…that Carl Caruso! Suddenly appears from some sort of jungle or other and thinks he can play Tarzan and abduct you.

Well, first of all he’s done some very interesting research on Orang Utangs in the jungle of Malaysia. Secondly, I went with him willingly. You should know that Tarzan…um…I mean Carl, has been on Panfu for a few days now. He came to visit Max and me, but Max was busy checking out the whale mouth at the time.

What a coincidence! Your Carl really has brilliant timing…

You don’t honestly believe that Carl is that calculating. Don’t be ridiculous! I have told Carl about my terrible experience in the whale mouth and that I am afraid to go back there. Carl was very understanding. Imagine, something similar has happened to him before! He was swallowed by a whale when he was out deep sea diving one day. He sat in the dark for three whole days…until he found a lighter in the water, so he was able to get some light and build a raft from some wood that was floating around. When the whale opened his mouth the next time, he paddled out as quickly as he could. Exciting, isn’t it?

This story sounds familiar. The same thing happened to Pinoccio.

Max, stop picking on Carl. He helped me not to be afraid of the whale anymore. That’s a good thing, right? Carl did some sort of special training right after his experience with the whale. He knows whales like his back pocket. With a whale expert like that, I wasn’t scared anymore, of course. So we climbed into the whale mouth together. It was so much fun in there, it was just like an indoor pool.

I could have ‘saved’ you too! After all, I am a Kung Fu pro and I have the gold swimming badge. Luckily, Carl’s disappeared again now…one of his Orang Utangs has apparently just given birth.

Good Morning Pandas,

Today is finally the day: we can oficially crawl into Billy’s mouth!

I won’t go back to this dark cave, I just won’t! I’m still scared. All you brave Pandas have to go ahead and report back to me whether it’s still as dark and scary in there.

Don’t worry, Ella!

Curley took care of our whale baby like a daddy yesterday and made sure we’ll be comfortable in his mouth! First he took care of some light, so that we won’t get scared and start talking to ourselves like Ella.

And what if Billy suddenly gets hungry while we are in his mouth? A baby like that is constantly hungry, after all…

Daddy Curley took care of that, too. He just gave Billy huge bottle of milk yesterday. He should be fine for now!

Billy even burped after. That was cute! I’ll bravely crawl into Billy’s mouth now. All brave Pandas follow me!
