Panfu Fashion Designer Competition!!!

Friday, June 27th, 2008

Hello Pandas!

It’s us again, Max & Ella!

Today we’re here to tell you about a very special opportunity for all pandas. Last night we went to visit Panfu Star-designer, Lili Panphung. She doesn’t usually like visits from the press because she is very busy designing and working on the new Panfu collections. But this time she made an exception for us! (Probably because Max was flirting with her! )

Lili Panphung took us to her studio but she seemed quite stressed. Then she told us that she has had a mental block and has not been able to come up with any fresh fashion ideas.

Then we had a brilliant idea. Ella said to Lili Panphung, “If you need bright ad creative ideas for your new collection, just ask the pandas for their help! I bet you could almost 1000 new ideas from them and then you can pick the best one!”

“I think it’s brilliant idea and you’ll see how creative Panfu pandas can be!” said Max.

Lili Panphung was very happy with this idea an wanted to start right away. She wondered how she never came up with such a brilliant plan!

So, this is where YOU come in! Lili Panphung needs our help to come up with creative fashion ideas for the summer Panfu collection.

So here’s how it works:

The Green Capsule

Thursday, June 26th, 2008

Hi cool pandas!  Yesterday, we were enjoying the summer sun on our fur when suddenly we had a new assignment! Prof. Bookworm has been working so hard in his new laboratory that he hasn’t had time to cook or eat! So we went to visit him in the cave with some yummy food we had made for him. We climbed down the stairs (which are not so scary now!) and knocked on his door. When the Professor opened the door, we were greeted by a big cloud of green smoke! Ella had a coughing fit and it took some minutes before the smoke passed and we could actually see Prof. Bookworm standing in the doorway. If we hadn’t brought him his lunch, we think the Prof. would have starved! He was very happy to see us and the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches we had made for him!

As he hungrily  munched away, we had a few questions for the professor, because we reporters are always curious! We want to know, just like you, what exactly goes on down in the cave!

But we could get NOTHING our of the Professor! He wouldn’t tell us why he needs the stones we’ve all collected; what the formulas, which are scrawled on paper all over his lab means; and what the strange green capsule-thing is in the corner. The Professor only mumbled and was lost in his own deep thoughts, as usual! A real mad professor! So after the Professor has finished eating, we left him to his work. Naturally we would love to report more to you but it seems that this time there nothing to report, just riddles to solve! What exactly is that green capsule? What does it do? What are the strange noises it makes? We will keep you posted as soon as we find out! Until then, make sure you wash behind those panda ears! Ella & Max

Secret Cave Paintings Discovered!

Tuesday, June 24th, 2008

Hello, cool pandas!

How was your weekend? We were in the dark even though the sun was shining the whole weekend!  Why? OK, OK, we’ll tell you!

We went to discover the new cave under the jungle which is Prof. Bookworm’s new laboratory! You must have read about it in the the Panfu News, right? (So, it turns out that I wasn’t imagining those noises the other night when I went investigating!)

On Saturday evening, we packed our investigation equipment together: flashlights, pen & pad (always needed), a rope and a thermos jug with hot Bamboo tea (caves can be cold!) With everything in a backpack we had our hands free to make discoveries. (Max has his tea  sooooo sweet! At least 20 pieces of sugar! Yuck! - Not true! Anyway: Bamboo tea without sugar tastes just horrible, Ella!

Anyway, we took the new staircase down into the cave carefully (it was a little scary in the dark). We noted the safety ropes. The Professor had already gone home but it wasn’t him who we wanted to see…. It was the cave painting that we head heard about existed down there! As we all know from school, pandas used to live in caves hundreds of years ago, because tree-houses weren’t invented yet! In those days, they used to paint their experiences and memories on the cave walls. Some of those paintings are still there today!

But there is a secret trick to these special panda cave paintings. They can only be seen with a special flash-light and only on the longest day of the year. When is the longest day??? June 21st, of course! Last Saturday night!

So there we were, on the right day, with the right flash-light and lo and behold, what did we see? THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CAVE PAINTINGS! With these paintings, we were able to see how the first pandas lived. What a fabulous discovery!

Suddenly, Ella screamed very loud! It was so loud that I thought my heart had slipped into my trousers! I thought we had met a cave bear or something! But no, thankfully it was only Prof. Bookworm turning on his spotlight and investigating the noise we had made!

You’re funny, Max! I suddenly felt something soft on my left ear! It gave me a fright so I screamed! Plus, you screamed louder than me!

Nevertheless, the adventure was enough for one evening! We packed up our back-packs quickly and went back home to right this report. We had even forgotten to drink the Bamboo tea!

The next day, Sunday, we reported to the professor about the secret paintings. He wants to find a way so that soon all the pandas can see the creative work of our ancestors on any day! Stay tuned!

So that was our weekend!

See you in Panfu and thank you for the nice comments here in the Blog!

The secrets of the crater

Thursday, June 19th, 2008

Hi cool pandas!

It’s me, Max, the world’s best reporter!

So, yesterday I was once again by the mysterious building site in the jungle. I can’t rest until I find out just what is being built there! Ella didn’t want to come with me as she was tired after her first day at work and so she went straight home to her tree-house and to bed.

Well, I went before the football game began and I took my magnifying glass with me (I’m also a detective!). I had a good look at the site.

It was a little scary being there all alone in the jungle at night. All the construction workers had gone home and as usual they had left no clue as to what they are building! I investigated a little further but I didn’t find anything special apart from a few foot prints and rubble. I can tell you this, they are not closing the crater but it appears that they are making it bigger!

I even went close to the crater’s edge to have a look into the big hole….. It was pretty scary and I had to tread carefully so I didn’t fall in! Suddenly I heard noises inside the crater! I think that something is being built inside the crater. Then I heard the familiar voice of Prof. Bookworm but I could have just imagined it. Sometime you mind can play tricks on you when you are feeling a little scared.

Then I saw something completely amazing: a staircase leading down into the crater! It wasn’t quite finished so I couldn’t walk down them because it seemed quite dangerous. I didn’t want to fall down and not have Ella there to rescue me! So I carefully crept back from the crater’s edge, took out my reporters pen and pad and instantly wrote this report for all you pandas!

In my opinion, I think it’s something very unique and interesting down there in the crater! And none of it would not have been possible if that meteorite hadn’t crashed in the jungle! I also suspect that the professor is involved in the mysterious construction. Soon we will find out what it all is!

Ella was very upset that she didn’t come with me to to the jungle. But she will go have a look for herself tomorrow. You should do the same!

Keep your eyes open and your ears still next time you’re in the jungle!

Until next time,

Max

Max & Ella say Hello!

Wednesday, June 18th, 2008

Hi folks!
We’re Max & Ella! Today is our first day in the Panfu headquarters as the new Panfu Blog reporters and we wanted to introduce ourselves!

As we are not on TV and you can’t actually see us talking we’ve made a little rule: anything Max says will be in blue text and anything Ella says will be in red text.

So, I’m Ella and my favourite things to do are to listen music in my tree house or chat with friends. But if the weather is nice, then I love spending time on the Panfu beach.

I love to write, otherwise I wouldn’t have become  reporter! The best thing is that I get to work with my best friend, Max!

Hi guys, I’m Max! I’m Panfu’s best photographer and a very good reporter! (Well, Ella isn’t too bad herself!) That’s why we work together. My favourite things to do are to play the various games in Panfu (my favourites are either Cloud Nine or City Runner) and I love reading the Panfu News. it was the Panfu News which inspired me to become a reporter! I’m very curious and need to get to the bottom of a good story!

So, see you soon pandas. We look forward to having lots of fun with you in Panfu!

See you soon!

Ella & Max
