You’ll be pleased to see that the Old Port has finally opened!          

Panfu’s development continues! The more pandas move to Panfu, the more urgently new and diverse places are needed. Following the inauguration of the new Panfu town San Franpanfu last week, there now seems to be a new port! 

Pandas are not known to be good seafarers but they are very adventurous. Apparently, that is why the first panda port in the world is now in Panfu, according to plans drawn up by our still treasured Prof. Bookworm (who is also a chartered engineer).

Hello cool pandas!

We did it! The most mischievous and elusive person who is currently in Panfu, has given us an exclusive interview!

Professor Bookworm is finally in public and has told us everything about the youth elixir experiment and its consequences.

Here is the interview that we held with him yesterday!

Max & Ella: Dear Professor, we are pleased that they are back now and we must say you are looking very well! But what exactly is actually going on with you since you conducted your experiment? You have been behaving a little strangely.

Professor: Thank you! I am also glad to be back! Well, I have had lots of experience in my time and now I’m about 30 years younger thanks to my experiment! You may notice that I am more fashionably dressed but also at times I seem confused or out of character.

Max & Ella: Well ahh yes, hmmmm….Yes we had noticed that you were appearing an reappearing in many places. It was a little unnerving.

Professor: Well, the experiment (the one where the pandas help me find the stones fI needed), was to create a rejuvenating elixir to synthe-rejuvenate…

Max: Come again??? Synthe-what?

Professor: Synthe-rejuvenate – that is to produce a much younger panda.  And I succeeded in creating it because look at me! I had to spend a few days in the special capsule in my laboratory until the magical effects had taken place completely!

Ella: That’s very interesting Professor but why did you steal Lili’s designer equipment?

Professor: Hmm, well, that’s a bit complicated.

Max: Oh man, even more complicated!

Professor: Well, I will try to explain it in simple terms: The rejuvenating elixir made me younger but unfortunately it also has an unpleasant side effect.

When I drink the elixir (which I need to drink every now and then to maintain this youthful sate) I am occasionally overcome with a strange desire to be mischievous and silly!

Ella: So what you’re saying is that you were in a kind of drunked state and you simply stole Lili’s things?

Professor: Yes, that’s right! These phases do not last very long but after I have come out of these silly states, I can nt remember what I may have done. You see, I just go a little….well, crazy!

Max: So it was you! Well, now that we know the reason, it is ot so bad. I guess we just have to take extra care of you when you become silly, professor!

Ella: Exactly! Because deep inside you are still our good old professor!

Professor: I’m sure these side-effects will calm down!

So, that was our interview!

The professor was really happy that we still like him and that we were not too mad at him. In fact, we have a feeling that Panfu is going to get even more exciting with his side-effects!

Hi pandas!

Lili Panphung has asked for help again!

She has lost her designer equipment and we do not have to explain how desperately she needs it to create panda fashion designs!

Yesterday, she was in the gift shop in quite a state, she was almost in tears so we brought her some hot cocoa to calm her down.

– Ella’s cocoa is perfectly suited for all sorts of emergencies especially ones like this! Trust me, even I have tried it!

When she had calmed down a bit, she told us what happened.

She had taken a little break from sewing all the fashion contest winner creations so she wet for a short walk around San Franpanfu. When she returned her equipment and utensil were gone! Just like that!

She searched everywhere and asked all the people she met if they had seen anything. But nobody had noticed anything suspicious.

We were in about to investigate the beauty salon and guess who we saw?

The Professor! He was running in all directions with a crazy laugh and did not want to answer our questions!

We thought he was really in his laboratory busy writing the history book on Panfu and yet we find him in the beauty salon! Very strange!

– Max think it’s because of his experiment that he behaves so strangely lately. We will investigate!

 Hi pandas cool!

It was you who decided and the new city has been named San Franpanfu! (A second close was the name “Bamboo Village”)

We were obviously there for the official opening and we are very proud of the new city. Even Professor came out of his laboratory specially for this occasion.

The professor is preparing a encyclopedia of Panfu where he will explain everything that can be found on Panfu.

– I took a glance at his  manuscript and I think it will be verrrrrry interesting.

– True, that is why we will not see much of him. But he promised he would come to Fashion Show. Then he gave us a strange wink. (?)

We therefore wanted to tell you about the inauguration of the city. Do you know who was there? The rock band, Smashing Pancakes!

Penelope Panda managed to convince them to come to Panfu. You can even dress like them, look in the new edition of the catalogue!

  We even got their autographs!

We have the best job!

We have the most fun job! We have got an exclusive interview with the fabulous “Smashing Pumpkins” rock band specially for you!

We have managed to get all four band members together despite their busy schedules. (

– I think Ella has been in love Iggy, who plays the guitar, you know, the guy with the blond hair ever since she saw his picture in a magazine!)  

– Oh right, Max, you have constantly written fan mail to Eva (she plays the drums) to try and impress her with your so-called wit! Huh!) 

So panda boys and girls, introducing the band members:

Max & Ella: Hello awesome foursome! We have just been to your first concert in Panfu, which was absolutely awesome! Since when have you guys been playing music?

Momo: So far for two years since we were all in the same class and a love for music. Before, only Patty sung, but I simply had a better voice! So I took over the vocals. (laughs)

Ella: Iggy, you’re such a fantastic guitar player! (flirtatious giggle!) Where did you learn? (blush)

Iggy: Thanks for the compliment, Ella! Actually I taught myself. I picked up a guitar when I was a kid and kept playing and playing until my fingers bled sometimes! Music is my life! (winking at Ella)

Max: Eva, you are a girl playing the drums. Is this not unusual? And by the way, how do you like my hat? Chic, huh?

Eva: Nope, I do not think it’s uncommon that I play drums! Girls can be just as good, perhaps even better than boys at some things! And your hat looks really cool!

If my boyfriend wasn’t Momo, I might have asked you out for a drink later! (grins) I heard that you are the best reporter in the world!

Ella: Well, actually Max and I are together the best reporters! (sulks) – Patty, do you agree with Iggy  that you really can not sing so well?

Patty: Well, Momo sings better, but maybe we will sing together some time. If our fans want, it then of course we will!

Max & Ella: What is the most important thing for you when you’re on stage?

Patty, Momo, Eva and Iggy (together): The fact that we play cool music and our fans are having fun!

The Hip-Hop-Party a few weeks ago was a crazy success! The next party will be even better! It’s going to be Rocker Panfu this weekend! Our readers have already had the possibility of adding rocker fashion to their wardrobe so that you can be ready for this next hot event!

We’ve found out that Penelope Panda has managed to attract a great rock band for the VIP festival, which will take place this weekend. It should be, according to the same source, the famous “Smashing Pancakes” who are best known for chart hits such as “Eye of the Panda” and “Velvet Bolly.”

Starting from next Monday, all pandas can listen to the “Smashing Pancakes”, who have interrupted their tour schedule to especially come to Panfu!

Hello curious pandas!

The word in the Panfu headquarters is that the construction of the new city will be completed soon! We have tried to tell you everything we know about this story but unfortunately we don’t know much because the site is guarded.

Yesterday, I went on my own. Well, I was a little scared, but Max always calls me a “scaredy cat” and I wanted to show him that I am brave! – Jaaaaaa, Ella, like you’ll ever be as brave as me!

Anyway, Max was playing on the computer with his friend and I was bored (they wouldn’t let me have a go) so I thought this would be a perfect time to go explore the new site.

When I arrived there, everything was very still and all the construction workers had gone home. The buildings which are almost finished, looked really scary in the dark.

I thought that maybe a blueprint of the construction plans might shed some light on what is happening here.

So I took out my flashlight and started investigating. There was a lot of construction equipment, nails, saws, hammers and so on but no blue print maps.

Suddenly I found something lying on the floor that certainly did not belong there….. a lipstick!!!

Surely the construction men don’t wear it!

I was studying it closely when I suddenly heard some voices of a few construction workers. They mustn’t see me there because even reporters are forbidden to go in the secret city yet! So I had to leave quietly and quickly before I could investigate anymore.

That was really brave, I must really say, Ella! But the next time we go back together, ok?

Well, we will soon find out what is going on in the new, mysterious city!
