Where are the pirates?

Monday, September 29th, 2008

Hello cool pandas!
Something has happened in Panfu again! Have you  read the Bamboo Gazette? Have you been to the beach lately? The pirates have vanished, without a trace, as if they were swallowed up by the earth! And their ship lies capsized on the beach! What happened?

Brrrrrr! And as if this is not mysterious enough, what is that spooky thing on the beach? Looks like an Egyptian  mummy tomb or sarcophagus!

Do not worry Ella, you know that I’ll protect you! But I honestly, I too have shivers from all the mystery!

So, pandas, keep your eyes and ears open!

The pirate curse!

Monday, September 29th, 2008

Hello cool pandas!

Since Friday of last week there have been some rather rude and loud pirates in Panfu, and they have some bad manners! Have you seen them? They are everywhere in Panfu sneering and jeering at you!

Captain Cod and his team could behave a little better, I think! After all, they are visitors in Panfu only to top up on new provisions before they sail on. I don’t trust them at all, especially since they kidnapped and left my uncle Hans on that deserted island!

But now the question is where are Captain Cod and his motley crew! They certainly are not standing around making rude comments anymore! (Personally I’m glad they are gone but the weird thing is they seem to have vanished without a trace! And their boat is still capsized near the beach!)

Don’t worry, Ella,  I’ve got everything under control, because I’m Max, the super agent!

I do not know, I think we are in store for a few adventures, Max! Something tells me that this is not a good sign…

Ah, don’t panic, Ella!

What do you know on this matter? Have you any ideas what’s going on?

By the way, have you seen our new newspaper? It has had a new revamp, check it out!

Best Website of the Year 2008

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008

Hello cool pandas!

Do you think Panfu is cool? Well, here’s your chance to tell the whole world!

We’re all a bit nervous here in the Panfu headquarters, because the company YOUNG INTERNET (the company that creates Panfu, so really it actually is Panfu) has been nominated for the Best Website of the Year 2008 award!

In other words, if lots of people vote for YOUNG INTERNET, then the team here will win a special prize called the Silver Star Online (which is like an Oscar for websites). We would obviously be extremely proud and happy!

You can vote easily for YOUNG INTERNET with the click of your mouse. (Ella and I have already voted!)

Simply click here:

VOTE FOR PANFU

Don’t be alarmed if you don’t understand the writing (it’s because it’s in German). All you have to do is click on the link that says YOUNG INTERNET on the left hand side (It’s the last one in the list).

You will now be on the page for YOUNG INTERNET where you can see a photo of the 2 inventors of Panfu. At the bottom of this page is a big red button. This button says in German: “Vote for this company”.

When you have clicked on this, you will have voted for Panfu!

Easy, wasn’t it?

Ella, I couldn’t have explained it better myself!

Happy voting! Remember, tell your friends too!

How pandas speak Spanish

Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008

Hello Linguistic-pandas!

In the Panfu under water-school, there’s something new! - And it is so cool that Max and I put on our scuba gear right away to check it out even though we had a lot of homework today! - Yes, it’s a new game, of course, and you can learn Spanish with it! It’s not boring at all (like school stuff can be sometimes) but true to Panfu style, it’s fun!

The new game is called “Super Lingua” and if you play it, you learn quite a few Spanish words and phrases! And since Spanish is the 2nd most popular language after English, who wouldn’t want to learn it?– Especially if one day you want to grow up to be a secret agent and need to speak in a secret language! - And Spanish will come in handy when I grow up and start traveling the world. (There’s so many places I want to visit which I’ve read about in books!

That’s not all! Have you seen what kind of Panfu clothes you can wear to school? Check out the new catalogue in the shop.

Now you can be mermaids and mermen from Neptune’s kingdom! - But careful, you could be mistaken for marine life the next time you scuba to school! - Heee heee!

Have fun!

Boy or girl?

Monday, September 22nd, 2008

Good afternoon pandas!

Did you know that the most commonly asked question asked by you in Panfu is: “Are you a boy or girl?”

This is of course a natural question to ask because it isn’t easy to tell the difference when you’re a panda. I mean, it’s easy when you look at Ella and I but most other pandas is can be difficult!

Yes Max, but now the confusion will be over because now you can instantly see a panda girl or boy!

If you are a gold panda, from now on, it will be easy to identify the  gender of a panda by simply pointing your mouse on a panda. If you see a pink glow around a panda, it means they are a girl. If you see a blue glow, it means they are of course a boy!

If the panda is in your friends list, he/she will glow yellow.

Now isn’t that a clever invention!

See you soon!

Update on the pirate ship

Thursday, September 18th, 2008

Hello pandas!

Yesterday we reported on the pirate ship sighted on the coast of Panfu. Here is the latest developments:

We have not yet managed to contact the ship, but we know that it can only be Captain Cod and his pirates on board that ship! — My uncle Hans confirmed  that the ship is really the world infamous brig “The Mosquito”! (He would know because he was kidnapped by that very ship, remember?)

The Pirates are not as bad as in ancient times, but still very uncomfortable companions! The great-great-great-great-grandfather of Captain Cod was also a pirate and in the old port is an old sailor who can tell you the story of him and how he once stole some rare Bollys.

Apparently the pirates are anchored in a very dangerous spot in the sea, according to the oracle, Kamaria. She heard from her great- great-grandmother that there is a spirit of an evil witch buried there. If Captain Cod’s anchor disturbs this spirit, it could mean a lot of drama for Panfu!

Kamaria has tired to contact Capt. Cod and his crew but it is proving to be very difficult since they don’t have internet, telephone or mobile phones!

Until next time pandas, keep you ears stiff and watch that pirate ship! We cannot always be there to observe it!

Pirates coming to Panfu??!

Wednesday, September 17th, 2008

*******   News just in!  *******

I woke up very early this morning because there was a lot of noise outside. I went to the window and looked through my binoculars in the direction of the beach (that’s where the majority of the noise was coming from). I focused my binocular onto the horizon and although it was a little blurry I could just make out the image of a big ship!

Then the sun came out and I could see a little better and then I saw it!

Yes, what he saw was the biggest ship ever! It had big black sails and guess what it had painted on the sail?

Ella! I’m telling this story!!! Anyway, it had a big skull and crossbones symbol on the main sail! Then I knew immediately that this was the infamous ship of Captain Cod, who recently kidnapped sea-traveller, Hans-Peter Risotto and left him on a deserted island!

So the first thing I  did was to tell me mum and then Ella! Why on earth are pirates coming to Panfu?

Ok, this is what we know: The mighty ship is called “The Mosquito” and since the pirates don’t have any internet on their ship, we have not been able to make any contact with them yet. I guess we have to wait until they arrive! (I’m both scared and excited at the same time!)

Me too!

Read the Panfu news for further details and stay tuned to the Blog for further developments!

Until next time, beware pandas!
