Rock, paper and scissors are needed to write a letter, right?

OK, ok, so the rock is not needed, but I am sure many of you have a garden where they can leave the rock. 

Eh? Max, what on earth are you talking about? 

Yes, let me explain… Why am I talking about a rock, a piece of paper and a pair of scissors? Because there is a new game in Panfu! And what’s it called? You guessed it:

Rock, paper, scissors!

Or what we like to call here in Panfu: Panda, Pando, Punda  

You know it, right?  Of course you do!

Where can we play it, Max?

Wherever you want and with whomever you want!  Simply choose the Rock, Paper, Scissors logo (located on the menu bar with the water-bomb thrower symbol.)

Then select a panda to play with and that’s it. Of course you can only play together as long as you’re in the same room or place in Panfu.

 And now boys and girls…. SHOPPING! Yey!

OK, let’s get the point.

Here’s the new furniture that awaits you in the furniture catalogue:

Those Knuffi Jumpers look so cuuuuuuuute!  But that’s not all that’s new in Panfu, is it Max?

No, but I don’t really want to say what the next bit is.

Why not?

Because it has to do with that Caruso guy!

Awww, Max, don’t start on that again! (Sigh) Ok, I’LL say it then…. Carl Caruso, the brave explorer sent a game for all pandas to play. It’s called HOT BOOM!

How does the game work? (Not that I’m very interested! )

It’s another multi-player game. The game starts when there are at least 3 pandas in the gym. 
One panda is randomly given the HOT BOOM at the start of the game. Then the count down begins! 
There are 2 rules: 
1. The panda with the HOT BOOM must throw it to another pandas otherwise he loses. The pandas keep passing the HOT BOOM during the countdown.
2. The panda holding the HOT BOOM at the end of the countdown is the loser!

Cool, huh? I’m going to go play now! Coming Max?

Hey Max, have you heard what time the concert of beFour will be….

This Friday and Saturday, every half hour!

Where will the concert be, Max?

Inside the disco in the castle courtyard.

So the DJ has a break for the weekend then?

Yep! And the best part? You don’t need tickets to see the concert, it’s absolutely free.

For ALL pandas or just Gold pandas?

For ALL pandas!

Will it be better than the big Smashing Pancakes concert which was in the football stadium last year?

Well, you can’t really compare them. I think it will just as good.

Why are beFour on the football stadium today?

They are rehearsing of course for the big weekend concert!

So it starts tomorrow? I can’t wait!

Hello Pandas,

Today we have a special surprise for you! We have some very special guests coming to Panfu to perform an exclusive concert!

Drum roll please! …….. It’s a great band called beFour! And guess what? They aren’t pandas!

We interviewed them this morning to find out all we can about them.

Ella- Firstly, welcome to Panfu!

BeFour- Thank you! We’re very happy to be here!

Max- So tell us, who exactly is BeFour?

beFour- We are a band of four members and we are:  Dan, Angel, Manou and Alina. Lots of pandas may already know us, especially in Germany and Austria!

We’ve been wanting to come to Panfu for such a long time. We kept badgering our manager so much until he finally gave in and arranged for us to perform here!

Ella- What exactly is a manager?

beFour- Well, it’s a man or woman who basically arranges and organises our concert dates, our interviews and makes sure that we are having enough fun!

Max- How did you all get to know each other?

Angel- Well, ever since I was little I dreamed of being in a band. I got to know Manou in a dance class in Switzerland. Manou had the idea to create a band. So then Manou introduced me to his friends Dan and Alina.  We all got on like a house on fire and the rest is history!

Ella- Have you ever had any really embarrassing moments?

beFour- Well, we don’t want to embarrass ourselves anymore than we have to but maybe Dan has something to say?

Dan- Great, thanks guys!  Ok, there was this one time when we were rehearsing for a concert and I thought my microphone was off so I started singing really loudly and badly as a joke. It wasn’t until I noticed that the others were laughing their heads off and all the crew were looking at me strangely that I realised that the microphone was actually ON! I was so embarrassed!

Max- Have any of you ever been in love?

beFour- Wow, already with the personal questions!? Well, I guess the answer is yes! We’re in love with our music and our fans! Anyway Max, I guess everyone falls in love, right? Ella, we heard that you already are in love, is that correct?

Ella- What?  Ummm, how did you guys become stars?

beFour- Well of course it was always our dream to be on stage and so with lots of hard work and a little luck we are here. Of course, a lot of our success has to do with our fans!

Max- What do you find especially exciting about beFour?

beFour- Well that question is easy to answer. Our music and our fans are the most special things about being BeFour! We’re very lucky to be doing something we are all passionate about!

Ella- Which of your songs is your favourite?

beFour- Our song “No Limit” is a favourite because it’s quite powerful and has a great dance beat.

Max- Well, thanks so much for the exclusive interview. We look forward to seeing you guys perform sometime in Panfu!

OK, sorry for Max’s behaviour but he’s basically trying to tell you guys about a cool new function available to ALL pandas! Max, you wanna tell them how it works?

Ahhh, sorry, I’ll stop now (but only for a moment to tell you how all pandas can JUMP in Panfu!)

Before, when you clicked your mouse once, your panda would walk to the point where you clicked. Now, if you double-click your mouse (Click it TWICE), your panda will JUMP there!!! You might even be able to jump onto roof-tops in some places!

Check it out, it’s so mega-cool! It might even help keep your Panda-mood up!

Happy New Year Pandas! 

Sorry we haven’t written in a while but both Ella and I were off on holidays and only got back last night. We hope you all had a lovely time over the holiday season and the new year!

Yes, I went to Sydney to visit my aunt who lives in Sydney. It was a wonderful trip with lots of sunshine, beach, sailing on a boat in Sydney harbour, looking for kangaroos,climbing the Harbour Bridge, eating ice cream, swimming….

OK, OK, no need to rub it in Ella. We get it, you had a FABULOUS TIME! Well, not all of us are as lucky. I actually went to visit some family in the south of Germany where it definitely was not sunny and warm. More like cold and white… A bit like it has been here in Panfu in the winter.

Well, we’re back now in our office and ready to start 2009 and with a bang! And boy are there many exciting things coming up in Panfu! Where do we start, Max? New games, more clothes for the 2009 selection, more panda levels…

We were sneaking around the office early this morning before anyone else came into the office. Many things are under construction and have not been officially unveiled but we took some sneaky photos with our hidden camera. Check it out:

Ooooh, how exciting! I also heard that the Bamboo Gazette will not be a weekly newspaper anymore and in fact our job will be getting even more busy with more blogs going online keeping you up to date with the latest gossip and news in Panfu!

So there’s lots to look forward to in 2009! We’ll be here to join in all the fun with you!
