Max’s bulldozer blunder

Monday, June 29th, 2009

Hey Pandas!

I’m sure y’all have seen the bulldozer at the lake. Looks cool, doesn’t it?

Max, you’re such a typical boy. Of course you like the bulldozer! Or are there any girls out there who like heavy working equipment?

When I heard that the workers were going to be cleaning up the construction site at the lake soon, I could only think one thing: I have to ride that bulldozer now! So I donned my SCUBA outfit and swam under the barrier. Luckily, no one was there and I was able to sneak into the driver’s seat. I looked down and saw a big ‘D’ on the shift gear. It could only mean drive, so I shifted into gear and held the steering wheel tight.

But Max, you don’t even have your driver’s license!

But you know bulldozers! They’re so big and slow! I thought it would be simple enough – until I started rolling backwards! I fumbled around to find the brakes, but to no avail.  I gripped the steering wheel and shut my eyes tight. The bulldozer rolled backwards, right through the barrier, through the water, and into the swimming pool. Let’s just say the lifeguard was less than happy. Luckily, two Pandas offered to help me get it out of the water. I told the lifeguard I would drive it back, but he took the keys right out of my paws and mumbled his way into the driver’s seat. Then he banned me from the swimming pool for three days! Good thing that the lake is opening tomorrow. I can go swim elsewhere!

That was a close one, Max. You could have squashed a Wooby into a pancake! Just think of that cute face, those big eyes, that little tale – all flattened because you thought you could drive a bulldozer! Good thing they are clearing away all this construction equipment soon to get ready for the gigantic water slide. It’s going to be great!

Be good Pandas (unlike Max),

P.S. – We got a sneak peek at what the item machine is going to spit out this week – a pandalicious statue of liberty! Check it out!

Max and Ella, buddies once more

Saturday, June 27th, 2009

Dear Pandas,

Max and I hadn’t spoken to each other for a while now. It really felt like an eternity! A fight like this is really pretty stupid in the first place. Do any of you get into fights with your friends sometimes? Then you know how it is.

I was really sorry that I had yelled at Max. I was rather harsh on him. Yesterday I thought about if I should apologize or not. I was so deep in my thoughts, that I didn’t even notice when somebody slipped up behind me. Suddenly, someone tapped me on the shoulder. I was terrified and jumped up. I turned around and there stood Max – with a flower!

Yeah, I read somewhere that girls like flowers, so I got one for her. I was really sorry just to have stormed off like that from the party.

Yeah, and I was sorry that I had yelled at you. That was horrible!

But now we’re buddies again. Come on, let’s throw some water bombs!

Max!!

Ella’s exaggeration

Friday, June 26th, 2009

Dear Pandas,

As you might know already, Ella and I aren’t really speaking to each other at the moment. I’ll tell you my side of the story. Okay, we were at the pirate party and having loads of fun. Everyone started throwing water and slime bombs at any moving target, and of course, I couldn’t help but join in on the fun! I went ahead and threw one at Ella – a tiny one, I swear. And I didn’t even throw it hard, to make sure she didn’t get hurt. So maybe she got a little wet, but it would have happened anyway with so many other Pandas throwing them around!

It was meant to be a joke, but Ella started screaming at me. She was so loud that all the others stopped what they were doing to watch. I was so embarrassed and decided to leave the party and go back to my tree house. Ella just doesn’t know how to have fun. Although I did see her shivering a little bit. Maybe she was really cold. In any case, things are really messed up between us right now. We haven’t spoken to each other in two days.

What do you guys think? What should I do? Should I apologize?

Be good Pandas,

Max

P.S. – I just swung by the construction site at the lake and spoke to a worker. He told me that a gigantic water slide is being built and it’ll be finished soon. I can’t wait!

Mad Max

Wednesday, June 24th, 2009

Dear Pandas,

How are you doing? I’m not so well; Max and I had a fight yesterday. We went to the pirate party and everything was great. It was so much fun!

It was getting late and I was getting a bit cold. I didn’t want to look like I was complaining, so I didn’t say anything. And then, SPLASH! Max had thrown a giant water bomb at me. I was soaked from head to toe! I had been a little cold before, and now it was even worse. I yelled at Max: “What were you thinking?! Seriously, I am soaking wet now!” Max made an angry face and stormed off to his tree house. I haven’t seen him since then. I mean, yeah, I might have been a bit too harsh on him. After all, it’s only water. But I was so cold! I hope he brightens up sometime soon. What do you Pandas think?

Be good Pandas,

Ella

P.S.-I was down in the cave today and accidentally tripped over the power cable to the rare item machine so the machine shut off and I had to restart it again. Whoops! Now I think it will spit out this week’s secret item one more time, so keep your eyes open. Don’t tell anybody at Panfu it was me!

PJ party anyone?

Monday, June 22nd, 2009

Good morning Pandas,

Did you sleep well? Ella and I were wondering, what do you wear when you go to bed? Pajamas? A night shirt? One of those body-suits with the little footies attached?

I wear a green Panfu sleeping shirt.

Ella, I already know. I snuck into your tree house the other night and took a picture of you sleep walking!

That’s embarrassing! Well, I’m not the only one I’m sure! Any of you Pandas sleep walk or talk in your sleep?

Anyway, there’ll be brand new sleeping outfits in the catalogue tomorrow. Check them out!

Hey, I just had a great idea! What if we celebrated by having a PJ party?

That’s a great idea! Maybe someone could throw a cool party in their tree house?

But first let’s make it to the pirate party! Maybe we’ll see you on the island? Remember though, only the Pandas who finished the pirate quest can come to the island!

Be good Pandas,

Max and Ella

The search for the blue parrot – Part 3

Saturday, June 20th, 2009

Dear Pandas,

Have you figured out yet whose raspy voice came from the eerie forest?

It was Pandabeard’s parrot! I’m sure you had already guessed that.

He was still alive! But maybe not for long seeing that his wings were stuck in a gigantic spider’s web. Have you Pandas seen that spider yet? He is huge and creeps around in the forest.  I’m used to vacuuming up bugs at home, but for this guy you’d need a bulldozer to pick him up! Next thing I knew, the spider was inching his way closer and closer to the parrot.

I screamed in a panic: “Max, do something! We don’t have much time!”

But I had everything under control. Well, okay, maybe I had my hands full with the situation. But I had an idea; I seemed to remember hearing at sometime that these giant spiders tend to be rather ticklish. I pulled out the parrot feather that I had found earlier and started tickling the spider’s feet. It wasn’t easy, seeing as there were six of them!

While Max distracted the giant spider, I freed the bird from the web.

Then we ran like the wind out of that forest, racing towards the pirate bar!

Pandabeard was very happy to have his parrot back. As thanks, he bought us a round of orange soda. We told him the story of the giant spider and he let out a loud belly laugh. We thought it was more scary than funny. What do you think?

It wasn’t that scary. You were with big, strong Max. Do you think I would ever put you in danger?

Oh, now you’re a hero or something? Okay, I admit, it was pretty brave of you.

Be good Pandas,

Max and Ella

P.S. – Don’t forget about the survey in the post below! You get 3,000 coins just for filling it out and the chance to win a Gold Package for a month!
