Max and Ella in the pony stall of horror – PART 2
Sunday, June 7th, 2009Hello Pandas,
So, you want to know how our night in the stall came to an end? That’s what I thought! Go on, Ella, tell ‘em! You can’t keep our friends in suspense for too long! I’m the one who went through it all but am excited about the end of the story anyway!
Ok, ok, calm down. So, where were we: Horsey the horse hand stood furiously guarding the door with a pitchfork. Then he began yelling and scolding us: “Trespassers! What on earth are you doing here in the middle of the night?!”
He was so scary looking! After he yelled at us, Ella started stuttering out an excuse: “But I…we…I just wanted to…”
Well, I was scared! I tried to explain to Horsey that I simply could not wait any longer. I’ve read way too much about horses and I just wanted to show Max how a Panda really rides. But Horsey didn’t care and yelled at us a bit more: “Ridiculous! These are incredibly rare and valuable horses of the Shasan race! Their bloodline is pure and noble, a proud and freedom-loving horse that no one can tame! For hundreds of year, countless people have tried, foolishly, to ride the Shasan, but none succeeded. They are a very special breed and need specific handling…You two get out of here now! Anyone who intrudes on the stalls at night doesn’t deserve to be in the presence of such exquisite beauty!
I think he meant the horses. Anyway, we got the point. I looked over and Ella was near tears.
Well, of course! I thought I would never be able to ride! Boy, was I disappointed. But there wasn’t anything left to do than turn back and go home. Our heads hanging low, we left the stalls defeated. But not for long. Right as we had stepped outside, we were confronted with a strange voice: “Well, well, well…you two sure give up quickly.” Who was that?!
My thoughts exactly! Just when we thought we were done with the whole debacle, something like this comes along! As if our little meeting with Horsey wasn’t enough.
Yeah, there’s a bit more left to the story, but we’ll tell you Pandas later.
Be good Pandas,
Max and Ella
