Dear Pandas,

I’ve got some very funny news for you today. I wish you could have been there to see what all happened at the pony yard! Hahaha, I can’t stop laughing about it!

It really isn’t all that funny, Max. Okay, well maybe just a teeny-tiny bit.

Uh huh, just a bit. I’ll start from the beginning: Ella and I got up early in the morning and headed out to the pony yard. We could hardly wait and Ella wanted to demonstrate what an expert rider she was and to be honest, at the beginning all went according to plan. Ella learned exactly how she should feed the horses and then asked Henry the saddle maker about her saddle. He said he needed one more day to finish it. But I guess that’s reasonable, seeing as he has to make so many saddles for so many Pandas. But Ella just wouldn’t leave it at that: “Oh, please, please please! We need the saddle today!”

Well, I just couldn’t wait another day!

And to think, all of her complaining worked. He went into his workshop to put the finishing touches on the saddle. Henry brought out the saddle, shiny and new and smelling of freshly polished leather. The horse was then saddled up and Ella prepared to mount. She put her foot in the stirrup and hoisted herself up! But something was wrong…she had stepped in with the wrong foot and sat backwards on the horse! Ha ha!!

Well, what did you expect, I’m just a beginner!

Isn’t that hilarious? I don’t know which made me more sore – laughing at Ella or riding that horse!
