Ella and Max in Spain – Part 2
Saturday, August 1st, 2009Hola Pandas,
There’s a lot going on right now here in Seville. Yesterday evening we went for a walk in the city and saw a flamenco band perform on the street.
Yeah, Ella ran straight up to them to watch. She also got a little pushy and nudged people around so she could get to the front.
I wanted to see the dancer! She was incredible, with that serious face and flashy moves. I wish I could be so nimble! The man played a big guitar and sang along. It sounded a bit sad, but very pretty nevertheless.
Ella liked it so much that she began to dance along.
When my legs tell me to dance, there’s nothing I can do to stop them!
She danced up right between the singer and the dancer. They both tried to perform around her, but eventually they stopped and looked at each other while Ella was still waving her arms in the air and stomping her feet as if she were killing ants. She had her eyes closed, so maybe she figured that nobody saw her…
Yeah, that was perhaps a bit embarrassing. But then Max started applauding for me!
Of course I did. I wanted to loosen up the atmosphere a bit.
I wish I could have dug a hole at that second and buried myself in it.
It wasn’t that bad, Ella!
The dancer was surprisingly nice and told me that she would teach me a few moves if I came back later that evening.
And the guy with the guitar told me he would advise me on the best way to impress a lady. Why does he think I would need help with that?
I’m pretty excited. We’ll tell you on Monday how it all went!
Be good Pandas,
Max and Ella
