Top Secret!

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

Hey Pandas,

I got up extra early this morning to type up this entry so that Max wouldn’t notice. He’s still snoring in his little bed. Maybe you know already, but tomorrow is a big day for Max:

His Birthday!!!

Tomorrow he’ll be exactly 12 years old and we have to celebrate! I met with Kamaria and Lili over the weekend to see what we could think up. I thought I would surprise him with a cherry-chocolate cake, since that’s his favorite.

I’m glad that Lili will help me with the baking, since I’m not feeling so well today. I hope I didn’t catch a cold. I do keep sniffling, however. I know – I’ll take a warm bath and drink a chamomile tea and will be 100% in no time. Do you have any suggestions? I don’t want to spend Max’s birthday sick in bed.

We plan to celebrate tomorrow afternoon in the pirate bar, so come by and order yourself a cold one. Maybe we could all sing for Max? I’m sure he’d love it!

Ella

Halloween Fashion Contest!

Monday, September 28th, 2009

Hello Pandas!

We have some fabulous news to report:

There’s going to be a Panfu fashion contest starting this week!

This week the motto is: A Halloween to make you die laughing.

We told you this weekend how Max’s attempt with a chocolate mustache and fangs to scare Lili inspired her with a new idea. She wanted to design a Halloween costume that was both creepy and funny. But somehow, the wells of creativity in Lili’s head have run dry and she is going through a rut. She wasn’t looking so great over the weekend:

Lilly_verzweifelt

That’s why we’re asking for your help! With your ideas, she’ll be able to create the ultimate funny creepy outfit to die for.

Get your markers, scissors and pencils ready to design like you’ve never designed before! You’ll be able to find a Panda pattern in Panfu to print out and fashion the way you want. We’re all really excited about your ideas! I’m absolutely sure that you’ll be able to think up lots of cool clothes and costumes for Halloween that were just as good as my chocolate mustache…

Starting tomorrow you’ll be able to find Lili in the ice cream shop. She’ll tell you exactly what you have to do and where you can find the Panda patterns. When you’re done, you can mail your ideas to this address:

Lili Panhung

Panfu – Young Internet GmbH

Torstr. 35

10119 Berlin

Germany

Lili will pick out a couple of her favorites and use them as patterns to be published as Halloween costumes in the Panfu catalogue, where you’ll be able to buy them. Have fun!

Mustachioed Inspiration

Saturday, September 26th, 2009

Hey Pandas,

Max, really, I’m gone for a day and you’re already stirring up trouble. Trying to scare poor Lili? It’s not even Halloween yet!

It will be soon! You wouldn’t believe it, but my chocolate mustache inspired Lili. Who knows, maybe I’ll be her next muse.

You know what a muse is? I’m impressed!

Yeah, Ella, you learn something knew every day. Lili told me this morning that she was inspired by my big scare and wanted to design a Halloween costume that is creepy and funny at the same time.

She’s right – there aren’t any really creepy costumes that make me burst out laughing. Have any of you seen any?

So that’s Lili’s new idea. She has until the 31st of October, so there’s still some time to create the perfect outfit.

I can’t wait to see what she comes up with. It won’t be easy! Who knows, maybe she’ll need our help? In any case, we’ll keep you informed.

Max and Ella

The bearded vampire strikes again

Friday, September 25th, 2009

Hello Pandas,

Can you believe that it’s Friday again? No wonder it’s gone so fast – we’ve been following the clues to try and rescue the Wooby king. Ella and I already found him. We told you on Wednesday that we thought he could be in the chest in Kamaria’s tower. Well, Kamaria helped us find the key and…you can find the rest our yourselves!

Maybe some of you have cracked the case and found him too?

I’m also supposed to tell you hi from Ella. She went to go visit her grandma, whose turning 120 Panda years old today! I’m excited too because my birthday is next week!

It’s kinda boring around here without Ella. But I find ways to keep myself entertained.

After Ella left yesterday I got myself a chocolate milk at the kiosk and slurped it down on the way to my tree house. As I was passing by San Franpanfu, I passed by the beauty salon and noticed Lili, the Panfu fashion designer.

I thought to myself: Lili is deserving of a little practical joke. I still had a pair of vampire fangs from last Halloween and put them in. Then I snuck up very quietly…on tippy-toes…until…

BOOOOOO!

I yelled so loud that she wouldn’t be able to tell this way from that. She looked really scared for the first couple of seconds, but then she started laughing!

Ha ha! Your creepy little mustache looks good on you, Max!

Mustache?! I don’t have a mustache! Oh, I guess she meant the chocolate milk mustache. I forgot about that…

Halloween

Lili got a funny look on her face and said that I had given her a great idea. I have no idea what she’s up to, though.

Luckily Ella will be back tomorrow. I miss her!

On the search again

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009

Hey Pandas,

Boy, am I tired.

No wonder – we only got five hours of sleep last night. After Mr. Curly told us that the Wooby king has gone missing, we got straight to work looking for him. The poor Woobys miss him so much and their little Wooby tears are overflowing the lake. If we don’t find him quickly, they’ll flood the whole area!

Luckily you Pandas are doing a good job comforting the Woobys. You can also help in finding the Wooby leader. You’ve already done some training in the search for the Pompoms. By the way, the little Pompoms have been safely transported to a secret island and Carl has started a new adventure. Who knows what he’ll bring back next time?

We’ve got our hands full for now. Ella and I went on a search for the Wooby king yesterday in the castle. We were hoping to find a clue and figure out why he went missing in the first place.

We didn’t find anything unusual outside the castle, so we went into the ballroom. Again, nothing. So we headed up into Kamaria’s tower. She was gone helping a few sick Bollys with some magic medicine.

But something was strange about her room. Something was definitely not right. The trunk that was under her window appeared to be full with some sort of fuzzy costume – there were even green bits of fur hanging out. Who knows what Kamaria has hidden in her corners and closets.

I thought it was a bit odd that one of the potion jars was tipped over. Kamaria is usually very careful with those…So we decided to go look for Kamaria and ask her a couple of questions. Maybe she has the key to that trunk so we can finally open it. She also mentioned something earlier about a cloning potion…two Kamarias? We’ll see…

I just want to see the Woobys laughing once more. Oh, by the way, we happened to meet Professor Bookworm during our Wooby search. He was very excited and started squealing about some new calculations and planet constellations. He seemed to think something big was going to happen soon at Panfu.

What’s wrong with the Woobys?

Monday, September 21st, 2009

Dear Pandas,

How was your weekend? After that long summer break I’ve been finding it a bit hard to wake up in the morning to go to school – except for gym class. That’s my favorite. Which is yours? How about you, Ella?

I don’t know…how sad. I don’t know what to do.

Ummm…I guess you don’t have a favorite subject then?

I keep thinking of the poor little Wooby I adopted yesterday….let me start from the beginning: Max and I went on a lovely walk yesterday evening. We walked along the lake, enjoying the last few rays of sun as it set on the horizon.

That was quite romantic, if I do say so myself.

But then we heard a little whimpering noise coming from behind the water slide. Max went to go investigate in case it was a hurt animal or maybe a depressed Mr. Curly.

At first I thought it could have been something dangerous, but what dangerous creature could let out such a heart-wrenching cry?

A Wooby scampered at from behind the slide. He was crying buckets and all of his little tears ran into the lake.

I tried to calm him down by making faces and offering a hot dog, but it didn’t do any good.

Max, you and your hotdogs. I brought the poor little Wooby with me back to my tree house and he cried practically the whole night. We have no idea why they are so sad. I think I’ll ask Mr. Curly. Maybe he would know why they are so sad since he spends so much time with them.

Carl relapses

Sunday, September 20th, 2009

Good evening Pandas,

It seems that Carl is once again in a very bad way. He has been so stressed out that he forgot to give out prizes altogether. Don’t worry, though. If you’ve already collected all ten Pompoms, you’ll still get a prize.

He came to me last night with a fever, speaking garbled tongues he must have learned in one of his journeys abroad. Every now and then he tossed in an English word like “cheese”, “lizard” or “blender”, but I couldn’t make heads or tails of it. One moment he was crying, the other he was dancing to ABBA tunes with his whip and Indiana Jones hat. The poor dear. Let’s hope he gets better soon.

Peace out,

Kamaria
