It’s official! Friday is official both Gold Panda and Level Day!

Woo hoo! That means that all Pandas can use all the Gold Panda functions like buying clothes and furniture and pets and riding around in cars or on horses…

Yup, and it’s also Level Day. That means that all the functions of all the levels are free for everyone!

How about these creep occurrences at Panfu the past few days? A mysterious caller who wants chocolate cookies instead of money? Ella and I racked our brains over it the whole day yesterday, but are absolutely puzzled. There’s nothing to do but grant the request and get to baking those cookies.

We baked all last night using my old grandmother’s old recipe.

When we were done we couldn’t help but take a little bite…

Actually, Max, we took a lot more than a little bite. But luckily there were enough cookies left over to fill the suitcase. We crept over to the Pony Yard this morning to deliver the cookies and Max looked around to make sure we weren’t being followed.

We wrapped the suitcase in wrapping paper so it looked like a present for someone. Pretty sneaky, eh? After that we left, but then our curiosity got the better of us and we rent right back to go see if we could see anyone. Lying next to a half-eaten cookie was this frightening letter:

“You planned to trick me! I tried your cookies and they are certainly not those from Kamaria! Go back and get me my proper cookies!”

Ummm…yeah. I guess that wasn’t such a good idea. We’re going to go see what Kamaria has to say.

P.S. – There’s a rumor going around that this Friday will be Gold Panda day and Level Day. Wouldn’t that be exciting?

Are you sure, Ella?

Of course! I mean, I’m not sure. Decide for yourself: I went to the Beauty Salon this morning and while I was on the tanning bed, I heard a strange conversation. I couldn’t really see anything because I was wearing those little goggles (safety first!), but I heard all I needed to. First I heard the ringing of a telephone. It kept ringing and ringing. At first nobody answered, but then someone finally picked it up. Here’s the conversation:

“What did I want? Who-who are you? I think you’ve got the wrong number. There’s nothing dangerous here! Unless, of course, you stay in the tanning bank too long. Yeah, there’s a suitcase here. Why? Chocolate cookies? But…but…I don’t know how to make those! You’ll call back again tomorrow?! Hello?! Are you still there?!

Ella, this doesn’t sounds good. We have to find out who is behind that phone call. We will need your help, Pandas!

Today’s the day! Max finishes his hospital story. You think you’ve solved it?

So, like I was saying, I counted to three and then took the covers off my head. There, before my bed was a giant shadow.

Eh hem, giant?

Okay…a shadow. But it seemed big at the time! But then I looked down and saw a couple of petite Panda feet, that somehow seemed familiar to me. Then there was a strange grunting-snoring noise. It was Ella – sleepwalking as usual. She had wandered over to the x-ray machine and stepped right in without even noticing. She turned around, drooled a bit, then went back to bed, just as if nothing had happened.

A lady does not drool! You must have imagined that part. I recall dreaming that I was at a tanning bank…

Next time we’re going to have to put you in restraints before you go to sleep!

Wanna know how the rest of the story goes? Where was I? Oh yes, so I saw the terrifying ghost and ran over to the light switch. Of course, I was terrified but had to see what it was. I switched the light switch on, but was too scared to open my eyes. One…two…THREE! I looked around…no one was there! Not even Ella! She wasn’t in her bed and left without a trace. At first I thought I was having another nightmare, but then I pinched myself and I was in deed awake! And it kind of hurt, too. But then, there it was again:

WIUUUU!! WIUUUU!!

That noise! Now I could see it was coming from the x-ray machine. I ran back to my bed and covered my head…you know, to protect myself from the radiation and all. Then I heard steps coming closer and closer. I was shaking so hard that even the bed began to shake with me! I had to gather all my courage to take that next step. One…two…THREE!

Max, the toilet’s clogged up again!

Whoops, gotta go Pandas! I’ll tell you the rest tomorrow!

I’m alone today to tell you about what happened last night. It was terrifying.

Ella and I spent last night in the new hospital just to see what it’d be like. Anyway, the beds looked really comfortable, so how could I resist? I slept like a baby…until I heard a horrible sound.

Plop! Woo woo eee uuuu!!

My eyes popped open and let me tell ya, I was wide awake. What on earth was that? Some sort of UFO? Another evil villain? An escaped experiment from Professor Bookworm’s lab? I called out for Ella, but she didn’t answer. It was pitch black, but I managed to stumble over to her bed…but it was empty! Then I heard it again!

Woo woo eee uuuu!!

I just knew that those aliens had captured Ella and were planning to take her back to their planet after performing all sorts of horrible experiments on her, not to mention the probing! Then I saw a horrible apparition, glowing in the dark – it was a ghost!

I gotta go to a hair appointment now, but I’ll be sure to fill you in on the rest of the story soon!

Have you Pandas seen our poor buddy Yoyo yet? Max and I went for a walk this morning and discovered him on the dock at the beach. The poor guy was just sitting there, holding his ankle and whimpering to himself. We ran over to help and asked him what was the matter. Apparently, he hurt himself while break dancing. He was simply dancing too hard!

As soon as I heard he was injured I looked away. I can’t stand the sight of blood! I just start getting queazy and feel like I’ve gotta faint…

Max, there was no blood. I was the one who ended up talking to him and asking for details. Yoyo was just a bit too eager to impress the ladies at a dance party and ended up break dancing out of control. He got the idea to try the Salto mortale (that’s a backwards jumping somersault, btw) and realized on the way down that he couldn’t land it properly. Of course, by then it was too late and he landed on the side of his ankle instead of his foot.

Ouch! Please, Ella! Stop! Anyway, I ran to Lenny to go get a pair of crutches for our downed friend. Lenny always has surfing injuries, so he had some at his place.

On the way back we found out that Panfu will be getting a hospital! It’ll be a state-of-the-art facility to deal with exactly these kinds of accidents. Take a look!

But Yoyo still needs a bit of help. Keep an eye out on the beach, Pandas!

How was Gold Panda Day? Have you answered the questions hidden in the lanterns? I finally got them all and got my own fire-spitting dragon! She only spits fire when there are enough Pandas around her, however. I think she just likes to be the middle of attention. I organized a BBQ party in order to get enough people to come by. We had a sausage and afterwards could make s’mores. All with the fire from the dragon!

For anyone who didn’t get a dragon, there’s one at the volcano. You can have your own party there! But remember: there have to be at least 20 Pandas present for her to breath fire.

Having fun with Gold Panda Day? It’s always fun to see lots of Pandas dressing up and riding around in cars or on horses. And don’t forget the Underwater School!

Wanna know how you can win a Gold Package? Today is the start of a contest. How do you win? It’s easy! Invite as many of your buddies to play Panfu as you can. The top 50 Pandas who send out the most invitations get a Gold Package for an entire month.

Here’s how it works: First click on the ‘Invite your friends’ button at the bottom of the screen right below the mood bar. You’ll then see this screen:

Type your friend’s name and e-mail address in the boxes. You can even write a little message if you want. After you’re done filling it out, all you have to do is click ‘Invite’ and you’re done!

For every invitation you send out, your Panda will jump to the next box. After five jumps, your Panda will get a pet Bolly. If one of your friends registers at Panfu, you’ll get a Wooby. If you’re confused about how it works, you can click on the blue question mark at the top of the screen.

You can also help a good cause! For every friend that registers at Panfu, Panfu will donate 5 cents to SOS Children’s Villages to help the kids in Haiti.

The contest starts today and lasts until March 7th.
