The secrets of the crater
Thursday, June 19th, 2008
Hi cool pandas! It’s me, Max, the world’s best reporter! So, yesterday I was once again by the mysterious building site in the jungle. I can’t rest until I find out just what is being built there! Ella didn’t want to come with me as she was tired after her first day at work and so she went straight home to her tree-house and to bed. Well, I went before the football game began and I took my magnifying glass with me (I’m also a detective!). I had a good look at the site. It was a little scary being there all alone in the jungle at night. All the construction workers had gone home and as usual they had left no clue as to what they are building! I investigated a little further but I didn’t find anything special apart from a few foot prints and rubble. I can tell you this, they are not closing the crater but it appears that they are making it bigger! I even went close to the crater’s edge to have a look into the big hole….. It was pretty scary and I had to tread carefully so I didn’t fall in! Suddenly I heard noises inside the crater! I think that something is being built inside the crater. Then I heard the familiar voice of Prof. Bookworm but I could have just imagined it. Sometime you mind can play tricks on you when you are feeling a little scared. Then I saw something completely amazing: a staircase leading down into the crater! It wasn’t quite finished so I couldn’t walk down them because it seemed quite dangerous. I didn’t want to fall down and not have Ella there to rescue me! So I carefully crept back from the crater’s edge, took out my reporters pen and pad and instantly wrote this report for all you pandas! In my opinion, I think it’s something very unique and interesting down there in the crater! And none of it would not have been possible if that meteorite hadn’t crashed in the jungle! I also suspect that the professor is involved in the mysterious construction. Soon we will find out what it all is! Ella was very upset that she didn’t come with me to to the jungle. But she will go have a look for herself tomorrow. You should do the same! Keep your eyes open and your ears still next time you’re in the jungle! Until next time, Max
