New: Grolly at the North Pole

Monday, December 19th, 2011

Hello Pandas,

we have great news for all fans of the cool App “Grolly’s Animal Adventures” from the creators of Panfu: A new, exciting chapter called “Grolly at the North Pole” including a Christmas surprise is out. :)

Get ready and put your warm winter clothes on! Just in time for Christmas, Emma and her sweet, cuddly monster Grolly will take you high up north into the Arctic, all the way up to the North Pole where Santa lives as rumor has it. And who knows, maybe you’ll even see him there. ;) .

But Santa is not the only one who feels at home in those cold temperatures. In “Grolly’s Animal Adventures”, you can meet animals, with very thick fur. Puffins, Polar Bears, Musk Oxes and Snow Bunnies are only some of the wide range of animals that, when you touch them, surprise the whole family with their typical moves and sounds.

In Grolly’s encyclopaedia you can find more information on all animals which will possibly turn you into a wildlife-expert. :) And even natural phenomena are explained. For example, you can learn what icebergs and polar lights are.

This is how your adventure with “Grolly at the North Pole” begins:

“Grolly at the North Pole” is available in the App store for iPad. Search for “Grolly” or simply click here. “Grolly at the North Pole” is available for only 0,79 € for just a short time! Ask your parents for permission if you would like to download it. By the way: If you buy the North Pole chapter, you will get the first chapter (Asia) for free!

Be the first Pandas to conquer the North Pole!

P.S. “Grolly at the North Pole” will soon also be available for the iPhone! Of course, we’ll let you know when.

Hi there Pancake searching Pandas!

Did you follow the pancake dough tracks on the ground yesterday? I got the chills when I saw where they were leading… to Paul the kid’s room! Oh no I thought, has someone done something to Paul? I armed myself with the nearest pancake pan… You can never be too careful, right? Slowly Max and I opened the door to his room, and stepped in. And what did we see? Paul the kid was reaching for the pancakes in his sleep!

So all this time Paul had been pulling the shop towards him while sleeping! Oh no! That little fellow is a funny boy, but he sure has something creepy about him! Just think about it…how fast his powers have grown! He started out moving some sweets, and then pancakes, but now he pulled a whole shop withTroy in it towards him!

I wonder what’s he going to do next? Will he move my tree house into his room?

 Tree house? Woah! I’d better get going home now and finish those pancakes that Troy gave me yesterday… Just so Paul doesn’t get a craving again and enjoy them with a glass of milk and a side of MY TREE HOUSE! :???:

I already had mine for supper last night. I guess that’s why my tummy was aching all night. :( But I have some nice news to tell you still before we go. A dolphin has arrived in Panfu, and he wants to give you some surfing tips! Surfing where? Well, in the internet of course! ;) During the next week we’ll talk a lot about safety in the internet in Panfu. We’ll tell you more tomorrow, when we’ve spoken to the dolphin first.

Ella’s Christmas Story, Part 2

Saturday, December 18th, 2010

Hi Pandas!

Ella promised to tell us the rest of her Christmas story today. :) I can’t wait to hear what her great idea was because she wouldn’t tell me before she’d told you.

Otherwise you’d go around telling all the Pandas and that would spoil the surprise. ;)

So, I was so sad, looking at the crying Luise who hadn’t gotten any Christmas presents, and I got an idea how I could make her feel better. The next day I wrapped my doll in wrapping paper, and brought it to the kindergarten. It was nap time, so I waited until Luise fell asleep. I made sure no one was looking. I looked left and right – no one was there! Front and back – neither! The coast was clear. I slipped the present under Luise’s bed and went back to my bed.

I pretended to sleep but secretly kept my other eye a bit open so I could see her. When she woke up she noticed the present right away. She was looking at it wondering where it came from. I told her I saw Santa come in to leave it for her. She opened it full of joy. Her eyes were full of excitement as she grabbed the doll really tight in her arms. :)

Wow. That was so nice of you! Didn’t you miss your doll?

Well, a little bit, but mostly I was just so happy to see her smile again. I got some other really nice presents too, so I played with them gladly. Also Luise and I played with the doll together many times in the kindergarten. You know, they say Christmas is the time of sharing, and it’s true. It really feels nice to see how happy you can make someone by giving them something they love, and just spending time with them. ;)

Ella’s Christmas Story, Part 1

Friday, December 17th, 2010

Hi Pandas,

How are you today? I’m a bit sad, actually. I read the Christmas story that came from the advent calendar today, and it was so sad it almost made me cry a little. Almost! But it’s a nice story in the end because even if it’s sad it’s sort of happy too. You should read it!

I also know a sad Christmas story. It happened to me when I was little. It has a happy ending though, so you’ll like it. :) Would you like to hear it? OK, here goes.

When I was 4 years old I was wishing for a doll with all my heart. It was one of those dolls that you can feed and change her diaper too. :D Do you know those dolls? Every time we walked past the shop I saw it in the window, and each time I also begged  my parents to buy it for me.  But they never did, and I ended up crying every time. :( When Christmas started getting closer I drew a picture of it in my letter to Santa:

When Christmas came I was more excited than ever before. I looked at the pile of presents under the tree. On top of them all was a big box with a red ribbon that said “To Ella”. That could only be the doll I thought, and ripped the wrapper open like a bag of popcorn. And it really was the doll that I’d wished for, and there were other nice presents too! :D I was so overwhelmed, I carried my doll everywhere, even to kindergarten! All Pandas proudly showed their new presents to the others. All but one… A Pandagirl called Luise sat in the corner and cried quitly. “Why are you so sad?” I asked her. She looked at me with tears in her eyes, and could hardly speak from crying. “I… I… [GLUP] I… didn’t get any presents.” My heart felt like it had shrunk when I heard that. I felt so bad for her. But then I got a great idea…

Save that for tomorrow, we have things to do! First of all I want to go decorate my tree with today’s new decoration that I got from the advent calendar… and maybe I’ll read the story again, but you have to hold my hand so I don’t cry.

Ella in a snow globe

Wednesday, December 8th, 2010

Hi Pandas,

Have you grabbed your gifts for today? It’s funny, today a fireplace comes out of the the fireplace.

Cooool! And is there another mini-fireplace in the stocking? :?:

Hih hih, don’t be greedy Max! :D But fireplaces will be useful now because I’m still freezing from the blizzard I got into this morning!

 A blizzard without snow??

Yeah, it’s a funny story… Do you want to hear it? Here’s what happened:

I woke up really early this morning because I wanted to get the presents before Max, who’s always so fast. :D I stood in the igloo at 6 am, and no one else was there. I had to wait for someone to come in and help me put out the fire first. As you know, it’s too dangerous to do it alone.

I grabbed a rug, sat by the fireplace and started staring at the snow globe where the snow flakes are falling. Time was going by so slowly I started to count the flakes… 1, 2, 3, 4, 5…24, 25 … until I fell asleep. When I opened my eyes a cold wind was breezing through my coat, and my paws were ice cold! I felt little flakes of snow fall on my face! And it was allover my clothes. I got up fast and BANG! I hit my head against some sort of glass! :?: I was inside the snow globe!

Even thinking about it makes me cold again… Brrrr! I think I’ll make myself a cup of tea and tell you more on another day.

Pandas in space, Final Part 7: Crash landing back onto Panfu

Sunday, December 5th, 2010

Dear space Pandas!

Thank you for your storieas and name suggestions for the last part of our space story! I was thrilled to read how our journey comes to its end. I chose the cute name suggestion for our mischevous little Bolly by the Panda called princess-flossy: Tiny Tot shall be the Bolly’s name! It’s just adorable!

And now let’s get to the exciting ending of our 7 week story! It’s written by Jessiee778Zsanna.

Dear Pandas,

My Bolly, who we named Tiny Tot, has finally started behaving since I started giving her treats when she was good. She loved her new name, but right when I told her, we crashed back into the planet we had recently been on! We went around in circles! Well, luckily we had just enough fuel to get back on and all the way home.

When we were high in the sky we started seeing all different planets such as the ones we’d been to: planet Francisco, planet Lemonchies, and many more! Finally we started seeing Panfu! Once we were close enough to land, we missed our original landing, and landed in the pool. We were so shocked that we’d crashed that when we rolled out of the spaceship, we had forgotten how to swim! The lifeguard jumped in and saved us. I was so grateful, that I got back on the curb of the pool and picked up Tiny Tot and threw her up in the air and caught her in my arms. :D

We ran to Professor Bookworm, Kamaria, Ella and Max and invited them over for tea, and told them all about our adventure. Bookworm and Max drank green tea, Ella and Kamaria drank camomille, and so did me and Tiny Tot. We showed them some photos of our trip, and they were so amazed. I hope we can go back into space again someday…

Bye now Pandas, and thank you for reading!
Jessiee778 & Zsanna

That was just lovely! I’ve been very happy to follow your story in space all these weeks. Thank you to all that have been reading and commenting, and especially for the ones who wrote their suggestions for the story. Keep up the good work of writing, and who knows, one day you could become authors… :)

And if you’d like to read the full story, you can find it in the Space Story-link in the side bar on the right side.

Did Christmas pass by?

Friday, December 3rd, 2010

Merry Christmas… ahem… I mean, hello Pandas! :?:

Are you still a bit confused? Max just ran to me in panic wearing his pyjamas. He apparently thinks he fell asleep for over 2 weeks and almost skipped Christmas! What exactly happened?

I got this postcard…

Hello, Max

How’s it going in Panfu? How are you and Ella doing? I’ve heard about the igloo and its fireplace. It all sounds really cool! I’m very excited, because Sinterklaas is coming in 2 days to bring the presents. I’m really hoping to get a puppy… I’ve been wishing for one for as long as I can remember!! What are you two wishing for?

Fijn sinterklaasfeest! :)
Yours, Kees

Sinterklaas… that’s the Dutch Santa Claus right? Presents?? But today’s the 3rd of December… isn’t it? There are another 3 weeks until Santa comes! Now I’m confused too. :???: Maybe Kees just sent his card last Christmas and it got lost in the mail…

Or maybe we just overslept… big time!?

Never! I would never ever miss out on all the advent calendar’s presents. My inner clock reminds me to pick them up each day. Let’s have a cup of hot chocolate to calm down first, then grab our presents for the day in the igloo, and then we’ll get figure out what Kees’ postcard is about.

Be good, Pandas
