Hi Pandas,

Sorry I didn’t write yesterday, I had to go to the dentist because I had toothache. Ouch! But everything’s OK now.

I don’t have so much to report today except that there is new Valentine’s furniture coming out soon.

And guess what? Last night I called Eva Toms from the Smashing Pancakes. And the good news is that she has written a new song especially for Valentine’s Day.

I’ll let you know more when I hear more about it. 

We can’t wait to hear it!

Hello pandas,

It’s bee quite some time since we have heard from Iggy and Patty, the other two members of the former band “Smashing Pancakes”. Well, we tracked them down to hear their side of the story of what’s been going on with Momo and Eva Toms and the band’s break up.

Max & Ella: How guys, how are you both?

Iggy: Yeah, well, it’s the not the best time in our lives but we’re coping.

One day we were a band making cool music and the next everything changes and we’ve split! It wasn’t even our choice! It’s been really awkward for us. We feel a bit like we’re in the way.

Max & Ella: Have you been in touch with the other two?

Patty: Yes of course! We’re all still friends but Momo has been so depressed that he doesn’t want to talk to many people and Eva has been busy with her own music. She seems pretty sad too.

Max & Ella: Do you think they will get back together?

Patty: Well, in my opinion, I think the two were made for each other! Ok, so they haven’t behaved so nicely to each other – Momo can be quite bossy and controlling and Eva can be a bit hot headed too but I know they love each other.

Iggy: I also think that the song Momo wrote for Eva will change her heart…

Max & Ella: So what will you guys do now?

Iggy: Well, we definitely want to make more music! We hope that once all this stuff with Momo and Eva is through, we’ll all get back to making great music ‘cos the “Smashing Pancakes” rock!

Max & Ella: We hope so too!

Hello rock-pandas!

Today we have some VERY exciting news for you!

Remember the phone call that I got last weekend from a famous panda? Well, Eva Toms has sent me a text message saying that she has organised her solo concert for this weekend! It will be a performance of her new song which she has written all by herself. It is dedicated to Momo…

When we met with Momo earlier in the week…. It was not a pretty sight! He is really in a bad way! I have never seen a pop star so sad!   He was really pale, thin and had dark circles under his eyes. He has been missing Eva so much since she decided to break up with him.

It was heartbreaking to see him in such a way. We tried to comfort him but he preferred to be left alone. So we told him about Eva’s concert…. We hope he goes to see it.

Maybe if he goes the the concert and Eva sees how sad he is, they might get back together! Then the “Smashing Pancakes” will reunite!

Anyway, anything could happen so make sure you check out her concert (which will be in the Castle ballroom) this weekend.

We can’t wait to hear her song!

Hey Pandas!

Have you seen the concert from “Smashing Pancakes”? It was AWESOME!

The news of their break up has really bugged us and Max and I have just got to find out the truth behind their break up.

So I’ve called drummer and singer Eva Toms from the band and begged her to give us an interview.

After several phone-calls, emails and text messages, she finally agreed! Here’s the exclusive interview:

Ella: Eva, thank you so much for your time! 

Eva: No problem, but I’m sorry I don’t have much time. I understand that a lot of fans may have questions so I’m happy to take this interview

Max: That’s really nice of you, Eva! What the fans are naturally interested in is: Are the Smashing Pancakes splitting up forever? 

Eva: Yes, but you already knew that from Momo! I have had enough and I can’t stay in the band anymore. I don’t feel there is enough room for me to move artistically. So I’ve decided to leave the band. It’s been really hard to perform the farewell concert with all the tension between Momo and myself. We have been working together for the last 2 years constantly whilst being a romantically connected couple. Sometimes it just gets too much!

Ella: And you and Momo, have broken up? 

Eva: Yes, as sad as it is, we have split, mainly because Momo needs to always be in the limelight and dominate! I still have feelings for him and value him as a friend but we don’t see eye to eye on certain things. But please, don’t ask me anymore personal questions.

Max: OK, sorry we understand. We only ask because the fans want to know! 

Ella: What we still need to know is: Will the four of you remain in contact? Or will you all go your separate ways and perhaps have a career change? 

Eva: We are four thoroughbred musicians. I don’t believe that one of us is suddenly going to go off and begin a career in tax advisory or something! Music is our life! But we need a break and every one of us will be going it alone. 

Max: And what will you do now, Eva? 

Eva: I’m going to take some time out and go out of town. I’m going to New York City to visit a girl friend of mine and perhaps explore my own music as a solo artist. Also, I think some shopping will be good therapy for me!

Max: Eva, we’re very sad to see you go and wish you all the best.

Eva: Thank you, and greetings to our many fans! You guys are so great!

The Smashing Pancakes are simply the best band in the world! It is a very sad time for the music industry and all Pancakes fans!

Hi Pandas,

Have you read the blog with the exclusive interview of Momo the lead singer from Smashing Pancakes?

Well, then you’d know that they are breaking up. But before they go their separate ways, they are treating their loyal pandas fans to a final farewell concert.

It’s this Saturday (18th Oct) and Sunday (19th Oct)!!!

No specific time has been announced so just get there early. Officials are expecting hugs crowds so the concert will be staged on the Panfu sports field. Get there early to get a good spot and bring all your friends!

As always we have our paws on the pulse and simply had to find out what’s going on with the Smashing Pancakes break up.

So we went straight to the panda’s mouth: Momo, the hot lead singer!

Here is our exclusive interview:

Max: Hello Momo, thanks for agreeing to speak to us!

Momo: Hi Ella and Max. First of all I want to say on behalf of the whole band, thanks to all our fans for their concern. We’re sorry if we have caused you distress.

Ella: How are you, Momo. You look a little under the weather…

Momo: Well, Ella I’m not that great actually. As you have probably already heard, Eva and I have broken up. Eva has left me. She was my life. My inspiration for our songs. My love… We were together for 2 years and before I met her, my life was meaningless. Now my heart is broken.

Ella: Oh Momo, I’m so sorry to hear that. 

Max: That all sounds very dramatic. So now what?

Momo: Well, as a band, we’ve decided to take a creative break. I need a break. I’m not even sure if I can write songs anymore. I need time to myself to think and process everything that has happened.

Ella: Do you think you will ever get back together? Artistically and romantically?

Momo: Who knows what the future will hold. Eva said she needs to move on. But one thing s for sure, we will be giving a a final farewell Smashing Pancakes concert for our fans who have been so loyal to us.

Max: Cool! When and where will it be?

Momo: To be honest I don’t know yet. We are still negotiating the terms of the concert with our manager. Perhaps it might just be a surprise spontaneous concert.

Ella: We all look forward to it. Thanks for talking to us, Momo. All the best.

Momo: No problem. See you later.
